Terms of use

1. Who we are

RishteDesk is a service operated by ARBSBUY (SMC-PRIVATE) LIMITED, a company incorporated in Pakistan under the Companies Act 2017 (CUIN 0310402). In these terms, “RishteDesk”, “we” and “us” mean that company, and your agreement is with it. By creating an account or using the site or app, you agree to these terms, our Privacy policy and our Community guidelines.

2. Who can use RishteDesk

• You must be at least 18 years old and legally free to marry under the law that applies to you.
• You must be seeking marriage — not casual relationships, solicitation, advertising, recruitment, data collection or any other purpose.
• Families of every faith are welcome: Muslim, Christian, Hindu, Sikh, Parsi and others.
• A parent, sibling or guardian may create and manage a profile for an adult family member, but only with that person’s knowledge and consent.
• You may not use RishteDesk if we have previously removed you.

3. Your account

• Keep your login details private. You are responsible for activity on your account.
• Tell us straight away at hello@rishtedesk.com if you think someone else has accessed it.
• One person, one profile. Duplicate or shared profiles may be removed.
• If you invite family members to help with your account, they act within the permissions you give them, and you remain responsible for what is done on your account.
• If you sign in with Google or Facebook, that company’s own terms also apply to the sign-in. We receive only basic account information from them, such as your name and email address.

4. Your profile and content

• Everything you post must be true and current: age, marital status, religion, education, work and photos. Impersonating someone, using another person’s photographs or concealing a marital status is grounds for immediate closure.
• Photos must be of you, or of the person the profile is for. No photos of children, and no sexual, violent or offensive images.
• You keep ownership of your content. You give us permission to display it to other members and to process it as described in our Privacy policy, only to run the service.
• Profiles are never shown to search engines, and photos stay private until you approve a request.

5. How you must behave

You must follow our Community guidelines. In particular, you must not:

• ask for or offer money, gifts, loans or investments;
• harass, threaten, blackmail or insult anyone, or share someone’s photos or details without consent;
• try to get around our contact-detail filter or call system, or move a member off the platform to avoid its protections;
• use the service for a marriage bureau, agency or advertising without our written permission;
• record calls, or take screenshots of another member’s photos, messages or calls, without their clear agreement;
• send the same message to many members, or use bots, scripts or other automated tools on the service;
• scrape, copy or misuse other members’ data, or interfere with the service’s security.

Misuse may also be an offence under Pakistani law, including the Prevention of Electronic Crimes Act 2016, and we may report it to the authorities.

6. Memberships and payment

• Registration, building a profile, browsing and replying are free. Paid memberships unlock additional features, as described on the pricing page before you pay.
• All prices are in Pakistani rupees (PKR).
• Each plan’s features and limits — for example daily interests, new conversations and call minutes — are shown on the pricing page before you pay, and the plan you buy keeps them for its whole period.
• Where a plan says “unlimited”, normal personal use is unlimited. Automated, commercial or abusive use is not covered and may be restricted.
• Payment is made by the methods shown at checkout (currently bank transfer). You upload your receipt, a person confirms the payment, and your membership is activated within 2 working days.
• We may change prices or plans for the future. A change never affects a period you have already paid for.
• Nothing is ever charged automatically. A membership runs for the period shown at purchase and simply ends when that period ends; there is no automatic renewal and nothing to cancel.
• Refunds follow our Refund policy. There is no money-back guarantee.

7. Founding Member launch

During the launch, Premium is free for everyone until RishteDesk reaches 2,000 active profiles. Founding Members keep Premium free for 3 more months after payments open, and receive 40% off their first paid plan. Nothing is charged, and no payment details are needed, to take part.

8. Verification and AI screening

• Verification badges appear only after the evidence behind them has been checked. A badge confirms that a specific check was passed; it is not a guarantee of a person’s character or intentions.
• Live selfie verification is optional.
• We may use automated tools, including AI, to help screen profiles, photos and messages. A person makes any decision to restrict or remove an account.

9. Our role and its limits

RishteDesk is a platform that helps families and individuals find and talk to each other. We verify email addresses, review profiles and act on reports, but we do not arrange marriages and we do not guarantee that any member’s statements are accurate, that you will find a match, or that a member is suitable for you. Every decision about meeting or marrying is yours and your family’s. Please make your own enquiries before any commitment and read our Safety tips.

10. Suspension, closure and appeals

• You can close your account at any time from your security settings, and export your data first.
• We may warn, restrict, suspend or remove an account that breaks these terms, puts others at risk, or where the law requires it. Every such decision is recorded with a reason, and where it is safe to do so we will tell you why.
• If an account is removed for breaking these terms, fees paid are not refunded.
• To appeal a decision, email hello@rishtedesk.com. A person will review it and reply within 2 working days.

11. Liability

We work hard to keep RishteDesk safe and available, but we cannot control what members say or do, and the service may occasionally be interrupted for maintenance or reasons outside our control. To the extent allowed by law, we are not responsible for the conduct of any member, on or off the platform, or for indirect losses. Nothing in these terms limits any right you have that cannot be excluded under Pakistani law.

If you break these terms or the law while using RishteDesk and this causes a claim against us, you are responsible for the loss it causes, to the extent the law allows.

12. Our service and content

The RishteDesk name, design, software and our own content belong to us. You may use the service for your own personal search for marriage; you may not copy, resell or reverse-engineer it.

13. Calls, the app and other services

• Voice and video calls run inside RishteDesk and are not recorded by us. Their quality depends on each person’s internet connection and device, so we cannot promise that every call will connect.
• These terms also apply to the RishteDesk app. When you download it from an app store, that store’s own terms apply to the download as well.
• We use trusted service providers — for example for hosting, email and sign-in — as described in our Privacy policy. We are not responsible for websites or services we link to but do not run.

14. Messages we send you

While you have an account we send service messages you cannot switch off — for example sign-in codes, security alerts, payment confirmations and changes to these terms. Other emails, such as match suggestions and activity summaries, can be turned on or off in your notification settings.

15. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. We will change the date and version at the top of this page and, for significant changes, tell you by email or on the site before they take effect. The version you agreed to is recorded against your consent, so it is always clear which text you accepted and when.

16. Complaints, disputes and governing law

If something goes wrong, please write to hello@rishtedesk.com first; most problems can be settled quickly that way. These terms are governed by the laws of Pakistan, and disputes are subject to the courts of Pakistan.

17. General

• These terms, together with the Privacy policy, Community guidelines and Refund policy, are the whole agreement between you and us about RishteDesk.
• If any part of these terms is found to be invalid, the rest still applies.
• If we do not enforce a term straight away, we can still enforce it later.
• We may transfer this agreement to a company that takes over RishteDesk, and we will tell you if that happens. Your rights under these terms stay the same.
• These terms may be translated. If a translation and the English text differ, the English text applies.
